Standing on the shoulders of giants

Sir Isaac Newton (one of the most influential physicists and mathematicians of all time) said, “If I have seen further than others, it is only by standing on the shoulders of giants.” He realized that the progress he had been able to make came as a direct result of the progress that had come before him.
In the Church, we have had many predecessors who accomplished much for Christ. God has used them – and their faith – to provide solid teaching for his people today. We would not know what we know or see what we see of God were it not for the foundation they laid.
