Mind the Gap

Bringing people closer to God is the work of the Church, and it boils down to helping people understand the ways God loves them. In our excitement to communicate the Gospel, though, we might run into frustration and disappointment if we fail to “mind the gap.”

Those who are outside of God's family aren't all the same distance away. Some have miles to go, others only inches. If we, as communicators, don't pay attention to the size of the gap between our listeners and our message, we end up trying to force them to make a giant leap instead of compassionately helping them take the next step.
