Dirt is Dirty
August 7th - 28th
“You’ve got some dirt on your face.” Simultaneously, this is a phrase we both want and do not want to hear. On the one hand, if someone tells us, we know. We don’t have to be walking around all day with people staring at the dirt. On the other hand, well...you’ve got dirt on your face.
We feel basically same way about our sin, with one slight difference. Because sin doesn’t show itself on our faces, we prefer to simply ignore that it exists - because we can get away with it. But sin in your heart is a whole lot worse than dirt on your face. Let’s call it like it is: sin is gross, putrid, and vile. No one in their right mind, when covered with sin, would pretend it wasn’t there - instead, they’d make sure to get clean.
