We in South Carolina take the impact of the reformation for granted; we see it's results every day. Before the reformation, there wasn't a church-on-every-corner, because there was really just one church - the Catholic Church. But now (especially for us Bible-belters) the protestant movement has swept the globe.
No matter how you feel about the plethora of churches in Rock Hill, there's a lot of value in understanding why it is good that a reformation happened in the 1500s (and beyond), because it will help us see the need for reformation today.
