Christmas means a great deal to people. No other part of the year has so much build up, so much anticipation and potential and hope. No other part of the year inspires so many emotions and memories. Christmas is just plain special.

But why? Why is it special, and why should it be? Lots of folks have heard that "Jesus is the reason for the season," but what does that actually mean? 

In this series, we're going to take a look at why Christmas is the way it is today, and answer some challenging questions about exactly how it ought to be.
