God did not invent loneliness. 

He invented its opposite. He, himself, is never alone, since the triune God is three persons in one God. When he set out to create the universe, his goal was to show the benefit of connection, togetherness, and unity to you. You were not meant to be alone. You are meant to be with.

The most evil thing in the universe is isolation. It is the hallmark of hell and the desire of the devil. And every time you act selfishly and rebel against all that is right, you take a step away from God - and a step toward loneliness. That's what makes Christmas so heart-warmingly remarkable. 

He came to that which was his own. You are not alone.
