The apostles creed
A creed is not a pledge or a promise; it is simply a statement of belief. Versions of this particular creed have been used by Christians since the 300s AD. Today, we speak it united by and with the God in whom we believe, and also united with those at Illumine, those at home, & Christians all around the world.

I believe in God, the Father almighty, maker of heaven and earth.
I believe in Jesus Christ, his only Son, our Lord, who was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died, and was buried. He descended into hell. The third day he rose again from the dead. He ascended into heaven and is seated at the right hand of God the Father almighty. From there he will come to judge the living and the dead.
I believe in the Holy Spirit, the holy Christian Church, the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and the life everlasting. Amen.

Pray:
a prayer of thanks that God has made you a partner in the gospel.
for someone whose view you've disagreed with in the past week.
for a Christian you've been upset with in the past week.
for the strength to embrace the partnerships in the gospel that God has given you, and work with those partners to spread the good news of the forgiveness Jesus has won for you and everyone you know!
Pray. Then join together in praying The Lord’s Prayer:
Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name.
Your kingdom come, your will be done on earth as in heaven.
Give us today our daily bread.
Forgive us our sins as we forgive those who sin against us.
Lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.
For the kingdom, the power, and the glory are yours, now and forever.
Amen.
