The See Life Better course is important. It walks through the basics of life, God, you, and the world around you. It give you a space in which to develop and articulate truth as you understand it through God’s Word, and (if you’re new to Illumine) it catches you up on how this church talks about certain things.

By the time you’ve completed the course, you’ll have developed a framework for talking about and understanding life in the way God wants for all people - or, as it’s referred to around here - you’ll see life better.

A few important details about taking the course:

  • You can take the course on your own or with a group.

  • The course is made up of 4 units, and each unit has an intro and 3 lessons.

  • The content is all right here on the site, so you can go through it any time, at your own pace.

  • If you have questions, you can submit them using the chat feature on the website. This means you’ll usually get a live answer from one of Illumine’s pastors!

  • After you finish a unit, you’ll schedule a time to meet (either online or in-person) with one of the pastors to go over what you thought about that unit and answer any questions. The link to schedule will be at the end of each lesson.

These live meetings with a pastor are important! The course is designed to accomplish two things - 1) acquaint you with what and how Illumine teaches and 2) develop your relationship with your pastor. Those meetings are a crucial part of your pastor’s developing ability to serve you well - not to mention, they’re usually pretty enjoyable.
