The New Year often makes us think about new habits, fresh starts, and renewed passion for life. Resolutions are made, planners are purchased, all in a sort of “cleansing ritual” for our society. Renewal is important. Because our lives have sin and evil in them, they become complicated, corrupt and confusing. God knows this, and through Jesus’ work he gave us the opportunity to be reborn and renewed so that we don’t have to live with the pains of the past. We can begin again each day, looking forward to our ultimate renewal in heaven.
